My airbag light flashes, does anybody know what this means or how to shut it off.

Air bag issues should ONLY be repaired by a Ford dealer - unplug the wrong wire and you may blow the bags.
I agree, the dealer is best suited to handle airbag issues.
However, my 07's airbag light stays on even with someone in the passenger seat. The dealer played with it for two days and of course it never happended while he had it and he couldn't find anything wrong. They suggested I drive straight to the dealer next time it stays on, but not to shut off the engine as this will clear the codes. Apparently, the OBDII codes for the engine aren't tied into the same system as the airbag and ABS systems.

The air bag will light if the passenger ain't belted in.
