Just checked it out. Almost right, It's a 30 gal. for 4x4 and 26 gal. for 2wd. I was thinking of my old 96 Bronco which had a 32 gal.

Where did you get the specs on the 2000? I would like to find the most detailed specs on the 2000. I want to know everything about everything about that year.

I have never come close to putting 30 gallons in my 30 gallon tank. The most I've put in my 99 EB 4x4 is 25 gallons and that was with the low fuel light on for better than 30 miles. Could it be possible that I got a 2WD tank?

I have noticed, with my 98, that the fuel light always comes on when the "miles to empty" indicator gets to 25 miles. I've brought the indicator to 0 and it still had 6 or so gals. left in it. Check your owners manual for the tank capacity. I think unless the previous owner of your 99 changed the tank, why?, you have a 30 gal.

BTW, a 1997-2002 Expedition 2wd with the optional factory towing package also uses the 4x4 30 gallon tank.
