i have a 97 expedition that doesnt have the 3rd row seat (only strap hooks on floor??) that im trying to sell and everyone seems to want the 3rd row seat so my question is.... Mine has only hooks on the floor, does every expedition have the 3rd row option that can be installed? im thinking maybe the hooks come off and i can mount the 3rd row seat mounts there? idoes that make any sense

I think all expedition came with third row seating, I think 3rd row comes standard. Dont know for sure. I had a 97' expy and it came with it.

Also I have the 03' and that came with it also, except that now they're powered fold flat.

Did you buy it used? They prolly didn't give you the seats. On the older Expeditions, if you wanted more room in the back, you could take the seats out. On the newer ones, you just fold :)

They prolly took them out and sold them seperately.

I thought they were optional, but am not sure.

Does your Expy have the floor latches in the there the seat would attach to?

On a side note, removable third-row seats are very expensive to replace if you get the OEM Ford unit, so it could have been sold...or stolen (they are a high-theft item).

Yeah the are. ;) The XLT is a 5 seater unless you buy the optional 3d seat.

Option 875 on the standard wheelbase XLT. $845/$718. Rear heat and air is another $955/$812. May be standard in the EL.
