Default Stuck in 4 low....

Gentlemen, I have '98 Expedition E B Edition. Is My girls truck. She engaged truck into 4 low at a dead stop, proceed to drive, heard a loud "clunk" (lol) in transfer case region and now lo and behold truck is stuck in 4 low...any ideas ? Thanks.

Try putting it in reverse and then in neutral while the truck is still moving backwards.

You may need to do the same thing in forward, too.

Alternate that a couple of times and it may pop out of 4lo.

Thanks Tony, will try. I did run her down the road a bit, stopped and ran her in reverse to see if she would disengage, but to no avail. I will try your suggestion and re post. Thanks, Doug.
