His shaft is correct and that’s not the axle seal. That is just a dust boot that was included with the new axle. Pry that dumb thing off because the shaft won’t go in far enough with it on.

I needed to replace the rear driver side cv shaft. When I pulled the old one I decided I may as well change the seals too. Found videos and how to’s that said to “use a pry bar” or “get in behind it with a chisel”...
