if you look at the fuse layout posted earlier there is a PCM relay in the fuse box [battery junction box]. This is not the pcm it is the relay that turns the pcm on. that being said I would also ck in the left front wheel well for and damage to the large harness on the frame rail.
Check it like Thermo said and also watch for the theft light flashing. when you crank it does it spit and sputter a little but not really start or does it just crank over?
If you have no link [no communication ] with the pcm when this happens I would guess that it could be either the pcm relay or the pcm. if the pcm relay is bad no power will get to the pcm causing it to not communicate. since the relay is much easier and cheaper I would start there. It is a...
I work at a Ford dealer and for us to cut and prog 1 key is roughly $135 [$35 key $100 labor]. the main cost is the equipment. I always try to get cust to get enough keys so they have at least 3. that way if they loose 1 they still have 2 and can prog a new one themselves with 2 programmed keys.
I have seen some tests and the ecoboost v6 is actually as fast as the 6.2. It actually makes more tq inthe 1200-2500 rpm range. I have driven the f150s with all the engines and the ecoboost is a beast. that being said the 6.2 would be the choice if mileage in no concern [they are actually a big...
sounds like you are loosing fuel pressure possibly when this happens. probably not related to the code. after you ck the evap lines and gas cap ck for debris in the sol that vents the canister.
if your ambitious and dont mind hose clamps you could cut and and fit with t fittings and the old hose ends wht new hose. you will also need rebuild kits for the quick connects usually.
if you remove the radio trim and look up above the radio by the left vent there is a connector with 5 large wires plugged into the a4wd relay. if you jam your hand in there you can disconnect the relay thereby stopping the a4wd. the downside is that you can no longer shift on the fly to 4wd and...
TRU TRAKS send the power to the wheel with the most traction[turning slowest] thru gears so they work fine with one wheel off the ground. the new raptor has this style in the front diff and an e locker in the rear.
Check the orifice again if it is stopped up with small non metalic pieces your accumulator is probably coming apart if it is silver metallic the compressor is coming apart.
I have 285/70/17 they work fine. the speedo was almost right on so the original 265/70/17 must have been reading higher than actual. I also moved my front air susp bracket and adjusted the rear to give it the most lift with the stock susp.
Just to be clear the grooved pulley on the compressor should turn freely and smoothly without any play. the clutch plate on the end should turn but with smooth resistance
