DJ04

I am a recent refugee (about 18 months) from the People's Republic of California. I feel fortune to have escaped. I bought my Expedition as I needed a new car (I call it a car though I realize it is mechanically very much like an F 150) after my '94 Explorer died from lack of coolant. I went to replace it at a car lot and saw an Expedition there! I really liked it but it had a miss so I passed but kept searching for an Expedition and found my '04 which obviously had been owned by a careful person. It has all three factory Ford manuals as well as a couple of baskets of spare items and more oil filter than I will likely ever use, air filters, and on and on. I even have extra brand new Kleenex for the center armrest! However, it has had issues; the most recent being a huge coolant leak at the gasket. Previously the printer circuit board behind the panel on the passenger side went bad, got a "work around" done so that's OK for now though I would dearly like to put it right. Also had bad resistance wire at the alternator. Needs driver's side seat cover (they are available though expensive). Main disappointment is the factory stereo; the sound is just not very good. My NAV system is obsolete as well. About 205K miles, plan to keep the vehicle more or less forever.
