Problems with junk new parts seems greater then ever. If you question a new part as I have offten, A visit to pull and pay is in order. Find a wrecked one, I.E. running good when hit, and go parts shopping. Will done.
I have found over the years, an alternator as it fails and draws power through bad diodes. Had a rebuild auto zone alt do that to me 5 years or so ago. The battery would drain in 2 weeks sitting. replaced after a long talk with az. Now can sit for a month and starts fine. FYI.

Tom is correct, cutting the wire works however I, at times like the automatic function of the awd. I never feel right switching into 4x4 high with the vehicle moving. It is just me. Great forum, great people.
