yup, 870LBS. the 5.4 only weighs 60 lbs more than the 4.6 so there are two different rate springs for the front but if you were going to install an engine (and trans) weighing roughly double the OEM weight tht only way to do it is to build some shock hoops and add a set of coilovers with dual...- quakebuilder

i have been toying with this idea for a few months now and i called an engine supply company to get an idea of weights. the 4.6 weighs 400lbs, the powerstroke 7.3 weighs in at 870! for transmissions options though i would prefer a stick and then swap in a dana 60/70 rear out of a superduty to...- quakebuilder

try wetsanding. its not as hard or scary as it sounds you just have to go real slow and KEEP IT WET while you are doing it. i start off with 1000 grit and work my up to 1500 then hit with a three step process using Mothers stuff, cut, cleaner and carnuba. it looks deep enough to swim through...- quakebuilder

Thanks XLTMan. The KC's are really sweet. the two lower mounted ones are the fogs with a fluted lens they are fantastic off road is heavy dust and a lifesaver coming up the Cajon pass in the fog.- quakebuilder

Aftermarket headers for 4.6?
I am in the midst of installing a set of Gibson headers on my 4.6 right now.
