    Air suspension pump running randomly

I have a 2011 King Ranch 180k miles. I replaced my rear air suspension with the Arnott non-air struts. Worked great and just pulled the air suspension fuse and capped and tied off the air lines in the back.

Anyone replaced their air suspension with the standard setup?

I have a 2011 2wd Exp King Ranch with rear air leveling suspension. It started intermittently deflating overnight, but equally on both sides. I decided to replace mine with Arnott conversion kit. The ride is very similar unloaded with coils as with the air suspension and I am happy with it. I...

    Air Suspension Failure....Help

I have a 2011 2wd Exp King Ranch with rear air leveling suspension. It started intermittently deflating overnight, but equally on both sides. You said you won't replace with rear coils, but I decided to replace mine with Arnott conversion kit. The ride is very similar unloaded with coils as with...

5.4 3v rebuild or build up

BSG Automotive out of Chicago. Search YouTube for ford tech makuloco. He is the 5.4l 3v expert. He recommends Ford reman engines now, but he does lots of timing jobs also. http://bsgautomotive.com/ If I ever need a timing job or engine replacement on my 2011 Expedition, I am shipping my...

    2011 Expedition King Ranch 4x2 20" tires 23.2 mpg

That’s impressive, my Expedition is stock and has the 5.4L V8 I haven’t tuned it or added any extra suspension kits. I do notice that this 2011 vs my former 2012 has lower rpms at highway speeds. Could be the 20” vs 18” wheels.

    Auto running boards

It is fairly easy to change the motors if cleaning and lubing doesn't work. I bought a cheap knock off from Amazon and replaced my passenger motor. That was over a year ago and no problems. I lube the pins and hinges with silicon spray every time I wash the truck. I also live in Florida and...

    2011 Expedition King Ranch 4x2 20" tires 23.2 mpg

I am amazed that I was able to get 23.2 mpg on my 2011 Expedition King Ranch 4x2 with 20" tires and 149k miles. I drove 400 miles averaging 60 mph from Tampa to Destin along the Suncoast Parkway using non-ethanol fuel from Wawa. I had a 2012 Limited that I was lucky to get 18mpg.

    Air suspension question

Yes, replace with new air suspension or replace with non air suspension springs. My 2011 Expedition with rear load leveling suspension sags sometimes when parked, but level's out when running. When it goes out, I am replacing with non air suspension as I don't do any towing.

Blown turbo. How much metal shavings is too much?

It is amazing how these engines survive oil contaminates. Short oil and filter change interval and run it. Send an oil sample into a oil analysis company and they will give you an idea how much metal is still encapsulated in the oil.

    Where’s the security code located?

Remove the passenger foot well fuse box cover. There is a module with a sticker on it back there with the code. I had to use the zoom function on my phone camera and snap a photo of it to read it.

    Sunroof repair

My sunroof stopped working. I forced it close to the sound of crunching plastic, then pulled the fuse. I like to open the shade occasionally, but rarely open the sunroof. I use the rear wing windows and roll down the side windows. I have the replacement part, but I may never install it.

    Misfire and spark plug recommendations.

Yep, look at the gap on the used plug. That would definitely cause a misfire.

How to install clips in 2015 Expedition

The trim holds them very firmly as the screws are long and thick. Have one in my 2012 for over a year and the anchors are still firmly in place.
