I like the BFG AT's for my truck but I use Kumho Ecsta ASX
on my focus SVT and they handle great.
Very "grippy" tires good for cornering / braking with long tread life.

Check all the brake light and ignition related fuses.
Also ... down by the brake pedal is a sensor that tells it when your
pedal is pushed in. If this is broken then it won't let you shift at all.

Weight distribution hitch with equalizer bars makes a HUGE difference.
I pull an 18 ft. Fleetwood travel trailer and noticed a big improvement

I would inspect all the brake flex hoses next.
These only last 7-10 years.
Also .. verify ALL brake pads so you are sure they are working equally.
Check your sway bar end links as well.

Yep ... sway bar end links.
Mine were destroyed in the front and I removed them - and the entire sway bar - with the help of an angle grinder. I like the way it makes the front
suspension more independent over bumps. Not to mention it weighs enough
to use as a curl bar! :eek:

I would have the alignment checked ASAP.
Look at your tires ... is there even wear across the whole surface?
If you find that the answer is "no" - then definitely get an alignment.

Some of the audiophiles out there use a product called dynamat.
Not super cheap, but effective at noise suppression I've heard.

If its got air bags, it could definitely be sagging.
If not - probably the TB's been cranked. Follow the bars back
to the adjusting bolts and see how much thread is exposed.
The bolt is where the bar passes through the torsion key:
