    Thank you both. Sounds like a very similar issue then in this case as it is intermittent and the leak never is bad enough to even pool up on the splash guard let alone reach the floor. I'll try that gasket rejuvenation stuff then.

    I get the Futura Scrambler tires from pep boys. Made by Cooper for pep boys in the USA. 40k tires that I've put about 50k miles on and about to get them again. Can get them for a great deal under $90 per tire and even cheaper on other specials sometimes! Can't find anything better. Good on road...
