So my Full-Race turbo manifolds just arrived and I thought I would share some pics. I'm supposed to get them installed sometime during the next week. Unfortunately, because I have a leak on one side I won't be able to provide any quantifiable comparison with the original parts. But I'll let everyone know my subjective impressions.

Batch of photos from the shop. Looks like the cab removal for the Expedition is a bit more involved as compared to the F150, as I see some body work came off. Shop said oil line filters were clean. Used Castrol full synthetic Magnatec -> GTX - > Edge 5W or 10W30, then Edge Euro 5W-40 with 6K - 10K changes per the OLM. Turbos are still going strong.

*EDIT* - Shop just said to shorten the oil intervals, as the oil didn't look good.

Wow, looks crazy with the body off! I sure hope you're doing the water coolant lines to the turbos and other common leaks while the body is off!

Yep, all that was done. Got it back yesterday but need to take it back. Makes a whoopie cushion sound during initial spool. Hopefully it's just charge piping and not the turbo to downpipe interface. Validates my decision to get this done well in advance of my summer driving.

Initial impressions are it feels... normal. I didn't realize how much noise the leak made because it didn't always sound like chirping. But I drove it like that so long I got used to the additional noise. Probably intercooler and moderate tune next.

Noise has been fixed. Heat cycled and retorqued everything to eliminate it, but the shop didn't say what the actual source was. Wagner intercooler and a tune up next.

Loaded a 91 towing tune from Unleashed tuning today. Very satisfied. Moderate increase in acceleration but much improved gear shifts. It holds the lower gears longer for better throttle response and shifts seem both quicker and faster. Kinda wondering why Ford didn't ship it like this. Peak boost is 15.5 psi. Didn't want to go crazy with adding power since I've got 155k on the engine and would like another 50k at least, but I can live with this.

Intercooler is next as I saw IAT2 hit 120 degrees after a few highway pulls, this with ambient at only 70 degrees. I anticipate substantial heat soak if I try to run the engine hard during the summer months. One thing I've noticed is that the upgraded manifolds make the engine much quieter than stock. Even during full throttle acceleration the engine seems noticeably quieter.

For ***** and giggles, I ordered the Unleashed 93 performance tune yesterday. Received the file this AM and loaded it for a test run. Noticeable improvement over the 91 towing. Added another ~3 psi of peak boost, hit ~around 18, up from 15.5 with the 91 towing. Much stronger mid-range and top end acceleration. Definitely need an intercooler. My IAT2 temps hit 142 degrees with ambient ~93 and IAT1 around ~105 while idling at a light. I won't bother upgrading turbos after this. It will never be as responsive as my wife's I-Pace, but the extra power will help with passing on two lane roads.
