I did after putting glass down and I took the inside panel off. It latched. I think maybe it's the link that's worn out. I replaced the one for the tailgate latch, but not the glass latch.
I replaced lower latch cable 3 years ago, but not the upper one. Today my wife tried latching the rear glass and it just popped off. Is there a way to latch it from the inside, or do I need a new latch?
UPDATE - I played with the latch and latch cable from the inside and it did latch. So...
For the first time in 13 years I was unable to remove oil filter (4.6L engine). I tried the regular oil filter wrench and would not budge. At certain point, the wrench just started sliding with filter not budging. It was hard to remove before, but I was never stuck like this. There is no space...
I was going to suggest ground. Also, it is known that a windshield leak corrodes the chassis electronic module located on the left side in driver's foot well. Check that first.
I did just the rear heater core flush on mine last Sunday using a 3-gallon bucket. Took 18 gallons and only the last bucket was free of rust. I ended up pinching the garden hose and releasing the pulse of water after my 3rd bucket was clear. Took additional 2 buckets to clear. And that's every...
Thy are literally everywhere. Try Rockauto first, then NAPA. These ryst all the time, so its in any store selling brake shoes. They usually come in a kit with new springs and holding pins.
How long did it take you to take the dash apart, and how difficult was it? I'm thinking of doing the odometer repair, but somehow I'm not feeling up to it....
Yes, that's exactly what I do and what I would suggest doing for your front heater core as well. disconnect hoses and flush it out. I think that this year I will flush it both ways, and maybe replace the coolant as well.
My front heater core got plugged 5 years ago. That's when I learned that A) the rear heater core can be replaced in 2 easy hours, B) The rear heater core is sufficient to keep the car warm down to -10F outside temp (the only time i'm in trouble is during a heavy snowfall or freezing rain), and...
It's too late now, but for people searching this thread - I just remembered I had a similar situation in my 2000 Expy. It turned out it was an idler pulley (could be a tensioner pulley), which acted up with added load of the AC compressor. That's why it squealed only with AC activated. Cost me...
Replace the AC compressor now. You may get away with just replacing compressor ($290) and maybe receiver/dryer. If compressor goes, it will require much more. It's easy. I replaced mine in 2 hrs with no problems. The you just have to get the system recharged ($120).
