I had the same experience 2 months back. I replace the wheel hub and was not totally gone. The main problem is the 4wd locking hub actuator which is causing the grinding feeling. I replace this locking actuator and noise were gone.
I do not have an engine light on. i had it sent to a workshop for computer scanning. It was having an OBD line issue. They said it was not the fuel pump but the line connecting to the pump.
