I know the Ford Super duty is on the assembly line for 24hrs. Unbelievable how fast they can build a vehicle. And the Expedition is built in the same facility as the Super duty, in Louisville, KY.
I've had the "one touch closing" stop working twice so far. Easy fix. Also had a complete failure with the driver door module. I just shut the car off, waited about 30min. everything came back.
I said it before and I'll say it again,
the only reasonable explanation for any unexplained...
I think people are confusing road / wind noise, actual V6 engine noise and the V8 engine piped in through the speakers, noise.
The actual V6 engine noise is more like a drone.
I'm not sure what expy's / navigators come with the piped in V8 noise. I know the timberline does and it depends...
I came from a 2015 expy and now drive a 22 timberline. I don't have any vibration at any speed. Possibly a u-joint. Sometimes, I think buying a vehicle, especially a new one, you get the luck of the draw.
And, is the loud exhaust you're hearing the piped in sound or the v6 actual...
Nice ride. I almost went with the stealth but liked the timberline a bit more.
I've been driving Ford's my whole life. On my 2nd expy now and I have an 18 superduty and an 01 f350 for work.
Go to post 111. I showed the body shop this tsb, and they haven't seen it as of Dec 23. So, word is very slow at getting around to dealers on this issue.
Read through this thread. It's very informative.
This is what I sent to the Ford body shop.
The Ford body shop I'm at said the exact same thing about the warranty. They should also cover a loner car.
They told me today, 7 - 10 days for my roof panel to come in. Spoiler is ready and painted. Looks like this is gonna be a 3 week to a month process to complete.
Finally taking my 22 Timberline in tomorrow to get the roof and spoiler repaired. Dealer said, 4 - 5 days for the repair. They said Ford is covering the cost including a loner car.
I will report back when I pick up my suv.
I haven't heard much from anyone that had the repairs done and the...
What the hell is going on here. You got some dealers saying it's a warranty issue and others not. It's the same exact problem everyone is having with the lift gate.
Whether it's ice, snow, freezing temps, or a design / assembly issue, this should not be a dealer trying to get out of an...
Sounds like there is some incompetence with your dealer.
How long did it take for the first repair to get completed and do you know what they did to repair your roof ?
Ok, that makes sense. Still, unless Ford figures out how to inform Expedition owners of this issue, it will continue to happen. Maybe inform dealers to notify its customers. Check the gap during oil changes. Have an airplane do some sky writing. Send a letter via pony express...
This just happened to my 22 tonight. Unbelievable. Supposedly there is a broadcast message/ bulletin for this to be covered under warranty. It was further back in this thread.
My question is, why is this still happening. I never recieved a recall, if their was one issued. ???
I'm going to...
