Default Stereo Dash Kits

Well I have a Scoche dash install kit and doesn't seem to be the right one. There are 2 different versions, one for Premium sound and one for regular installs. My EB has the Mach 1 system, doesnt that qualify it to be premium sound? Cause when I put in my deck, there is a gap between the dash kit and the shroud bezel. I know there is this Metra kit that has 2 screw holes on the bottom to mount it to your climate controls. Does anyone know if this is the right kit and what the part number is?

Here's my install. The last post shows the picture of the unit and dash kit installed. It is a Scosche kit as well that has the 2 screw holes on the bottom. It does have a slight gap around the bezel, but not too bad IMO.

I just ordered my head unit from crutchfield today

http://www.crutchfield.com/p_158GT70...X-GT700HD.html

I decided to go with them because they throw in a bunch of stuff that makes it much simpler.

Is there a blank or something that fills in the space below the deck? Got a link?

no blank is needed as long as you use double DIIN...just the dash kit

I like Crutchfield, good quality stuff but I am what you call a "cheap fool with money on my mind" kind of guy LOL anyhow, I dont understand why the 97 EB can't be considered a premium sound vehicle when it comes with the Mach system.
