I wanted a full roof rack and basket...basket to come later. Not to offend anyone but I am not a fan of the baskets that look way way to small for a fullsize truck or Suv. My mission is to build one bad **** that you can walk on and actually still have room other then a full size spare taking up all the space. As the project moves forward plans are to be able to hold without have to detach or attach parts in order to hold things. There will be a sea kayak holder, one for now and another added later that will simple fold down out of winds way, 2 bike holder “these are the only after market attachments that will be on here i didnt make”, Whitewater kayak stackers, Paddle holders, Hi-lift jack mount, Ax and shovel, Lights off all four corners but hidden and whatever else comes along. All should be able to go on together at once with room for gear.
I didnt like the fact that Ford didnt continue the stock rack track closer to the front of the truck so I added it. And I must have sat there for a hour with my drill debating weather I should drill a hole in my roof to extend the rack but somehow just got he balls to do it! Lol
Everything was made with scrape and the only expense so far is Mig wire and 10mm bolts, 3 bucks for the track and a mess load of those flat nuts that slide into the track to bolt to. The front fairing or air jam is made of almost a half inch of plexie glass. That I found a huge sheet of one day sticking out a dumpster when passing by LOL
Ill get better photos later

I didnt realize the difference in height till front to rear contouring to the roofs slope. Had to redo the feet of the crossbars and she is al level.

Bad photo, ill get a better one in the daylight.
