I've had my new 2024 Ford Expedition XLT about 3 weeks. I was looking back where the jack is stored and found this new harness in a bag labeled Ford Part JL1T-15A416 and JL1T-14A348
I looked it up and found two references:
- Ford Engine Block Heater Wiring
- Ford Electrical Trailer Brake Wiring Harness
The window sticker for the vehicle shows it has this option: CLASS IV TRLR TOW PREP PAK. My Expedition came with an installed hitch receiver and a 4/7 pin trailer connector. I tested the connectors and both work (brakes lights and turn signals).
Am I correct that because the sticker indicates that my model has the "CLASS IV TRLR TOW PREP PAK", that my model comes with a hitch receiver and 4/7 pin trailer connector? And, that they threw in a free trailer brake wiring harness for a 3rd party trailer brake?
