I have replaced the belt tensioner and a number of the idler/pulley wheels and the serpentine belt. I also replaced the AC clutch wheel. When I start up the truck there is a noise that is noticeable when the AC is on, the noise subsides once you turn the AC off. Would it be the compressor that would be making this noise and what would cause the compressor to make such as noise? Thanks

It could be the A/C Clutch is going bad. Depending on your MY, it can be common.

Has any repair been done to the A/C System? Any significant A/C part replacement (i.e A/C Compressor, Evaporator, etc), requires a certain amount of oil to be added, along with refrigerant. If oil was never added after the repair, the compressor could be low on oil, which will cause a noise.

Fordtechmakuloco has a YouTube video explaining the failure and replacement: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W62U7zFrQR4
