Ford OEM intake part # 2l1z9424aa is on back order with delivery date in site. Who has used a aftermarket and is happy with it? Drop the name or part # if your happy with it.

I’ve been rolling with the Dorman for about 15,000 miles. Everyone poo-poos Dorman, but when I was doing my engine swap, OEM was unobtainium.

I have not been unhappy so far with the Dorman.

I have not used a Dorman intake, but I have used many Dorman parts over the years. Most were just adequate, some were absolutely fantastic and some were down right unsafe. I will say I think sometimes the results are a matter of how carefully the installer followed the directions and clearly the torque values with the Dorman intake appear to be critical.

EDIT: I have been looking at using an aluminum intake from the 99 5.4 2V in case I need to swap my intake.
