From what I understood on here they would work without rubbing but the tire shop told me they would rub. Probably just want me to buy a new set.

What is your stock tire size? 285/60/18 is not a large tire.

@Shaffer9 what was the 285/70/18 tire you had? Were you happy with it? Just bought a 19 xlt fx4 and don't want to lift it but want a big aggressive at tire that doesn't rub but each manufacturer size is slightly different. Which 285/70 did you go with on the stock 18 rims? Ty!

'21 FX4 with BFG KO2's 275x70x18 on the factory wheels. One size up from stock and great for mild off roading and towing our camper. IMG_6227.JPG

Looks sweet pretty much what I'm looking for. Was just curious what 285/70 tire @Shaffer9 Had on his. The 285 would be about 1/2" to 3/4" taller than 275 depending on brand. The new 285/70/18 falkens are a full 34" but bfgs are like 33.6". Just wondering which 285 he got with no rub. May just go with 275s to be safe. Yours looks like what I want

@Pawpaw Do you have another 3/4" of room on your 275s or is 275 as big as you would go?

I wanted to be safe with the clearance since we tow a 8K pound camper. The 275mm width is just about factory width I had with the 275x65x18 stock tires. We get a lot of rain in Louisiana and I find the wider the tires the more chances of hydroplaning when hitting standing water. Tire height is 33.2 and they fill the wheelwells great at stock FX4 height. Not even close to rubbing and they still get decent fuel mileage for daily use. Stock wheels keep the tires inside the wheelwells and help contain road splash. I highly recommend this size if you do any towing or offroading.
