I remember a thread on the forum about the driver side mirror trim whistling/humming in the wind.

I know when the fan comes on in my 5.4 it's pretty noticeable. At low speed, high ambient, ac on the fan comes on frequently

Yes….i heard it again opened hood and FANS WERE LOUD…..never heard before like that. It was 95 1st day….second day was 100 but I heard it when I started truck…I opened hood quick…after 1 minute from opening hood I saw them shut down. I drove son to school back and ate idling at mcdees…drove again but didn’t come on loud again……maybe only 1 fan comes on when 2nd one goes on it’s louder….when I opened hood on driveway b4 leaving, both were going….i never heard loud like that….seems like it was spinning faster louder and both on….

If you select Max A/C, select the highest fan speed and recirculate the fans should go to full speed. As I understand it all vehicles with e-fans do this. Certainly all of mine with e-fans do. That might give you a means of controlling the fans and determining if it's the cause of the humming.
