I switched off the kick-to-open tailgate feature the 2nd or 3rd time it opened while I was futzing with my trailer hitch. VERY annoying. I forget where the setting was, but on my 2019 Limited Stealth, its on a menu somewhere.

If the car was supplied without the feature, I'd imagine that they leave out the kick sensors and the 'Hands Free Liftgate Actuation Module' 151-60, which talks over a LIN bus to the BCM (Body Control Module). The BCM probably has to be coded to enable the feature, too.

Do you know which module controls the park assist? I'm guessing there is a "box" that I need to replace with different internals to support it. I already have 360 degree cameras and the botton on the console. Anything else that would be needed besides activation with Forscan?

I only have a 2019 Ford Expedition/Lincoln Navigator wiring diagram. massive book.

what I said earlier...
it shows all the sensors are connected to the BCM, but the BCM talks LIN to a 'Hands Free Liftgate Actuation Module', which is located in the middle of the left side rear bumper. This is separate from the Liftgate/Trunk Module (LTM) which you have on all cars. The LTM seems to be on the driver side of the trunk, just forward of the left tail light and behind the side panel..

I'm asking about the Active Park Assist though (and what this thread is about). I'm referring to the function where the vehicle will park itself (parallel or backing in).

I just don’t get why you want to add it? It’s a useless product. So few people used it in the real world that they have permanently deleted it from the 2024+ models.
