cushion between the 2nd row seating

I am looking for a 2023 or 2024 Expedition or Navigator. I really need the 2nd row seating be 'bench' but that is a Very Rare find. Has anyone tried to put a cushion or something between the captain seats to imitate a bench seat setup?

I don't think that's even an option on Navigator or Platinum level Expeditions. I think you need to go to Limited to get 2nd row bench. 2nd row bench was also one of my requirements, and I was also looking at Platinum or Navigators but couldn't find any.

not sure a cushion would be very safe, unless you are not planning on having someone sit on it and just need it as a filler.

This is funny as I was looking for 2nd row buckets almost a year ago and they were scarce. Plenty of bench seats and black Platinum models with black interior.
However, Carfax used cars is loaded with Expeditions with bench seats. I looked 600 miles from Tampa Bay

I have a Navigator with 2nd row bench. it is available on all Navigators. it was a no charge option when I purchased.

thanks for the replies. YES, you can get a Navigator 'Reserve' with a bench seat. I have looked at two but............... The first one was a 'Buy Back' and even tho it was supposedly 'fixed' I was a tad hesitant to purchase it. The Second one, just yesterday, is a 'Loaner'. It has 7K miles on it. My complaint was the Lincoln dealer did not make any effort to 'spruce' it up knowing I was coming to look at!!! The 'detail' folks at that place don't seem to put any effort in doing a good cleaning and polishing. I walked away; it still looked the part of a 'Loaner'.

I am not looking to have someone sit on the 'pillow' or whatever. I just need something to take up the space so on our frequent trips I or my wife can take a respite and lay down for a short while.

years ago one had to pay extra for 'captain' seating and bench was the common arrangement. Seems to be just the opposite now......'captain' the norm and bench the rare.

the 2nd row 'bench' is virtually two bucket seats with a not-quite bucket middle seat. The three fold individually. I'm not sure it would be comfortable to lay across them, I'd be more inclined to fold the 3rd row and part or all of the second row, and use a air mattress or a pad or something, and sleep stretched out front-rear.

Found color matched faux leather, soft touch foam, and looking for a cup/phone holder solution that’s nicer that just the cheap drop in round ones. Then I’ll get it upholstered to pattern match the front console. Velcro on the bottom to anchor it to the back of the middle seat, will make it removable.

I was able to order both Expy and Nav with bench in any trim (Canada). Expy SPP showed up first. I had also ordered an Expy Platinum Max and a Nav reserve black extended. Around my parts a bench seat is as rare as an Expy or Nav being ordered Ina colour other than white or black

Thanks for the clarification. I'd been looking for months and nothing in Nav's or Plat's for 2018 and up. Guess this is a rarely ordered option. It seems my 18 F150 Lariat with front bench is fairly rare as well.
