4x4 always engaged?

I'm sure its been asked but couldn't find a straight forward answer so here we go... I have a 2020 Max Limited 4x4 (just bought used). It seems that my front drive shaft and CV axels turn when driving regardless if i am in 2h or 4a. The IWEs are disengaged, the lines hold vacuum and the solenoid is opening and closing. I have heard mixed reviews if it is true that Ford made it so they always turned to keep fluid moving in the dif. Just wanted to make sure mine is acting as it should or if i need to dig into replacing the TCCM. Thanks in advance.

When you say charged. What do you mean? When I have it in 2 wheel the front drive shaft and cv axels are spinning. But i have confirmed the iwes are disengsged.

My understanding is that should not be happening. If your IWE system is functioning properly…with the engine on…vacuum being delivered…your IWEs should be unlocked and the shafts shouldn’t be spinning.

I would agree. And they are disengaged. I took video while driving. With the drive front drive shaft installed the axels and shaft spin even though my wheels (when on jacks) spin on their own with out moving the axels or shaft. But again when driving on the road it all spins while in two wheel drive. I was told that the transfer case control motor is integral in the transfer case and what i have been reading it differs back and forth to it should all spin even in 2WD and other say it should spin in 2WD so i am just trying to get a straight answer. Again, this is for a 2020 max limited 10 speed tranny.
