Hi, i had a "new" probably refurbished PCM installed into my 2012 expedition xlt. Now the truck shakes as soon as you turn it on even when driving it. It shakes more when you get to a stop light. the mechanic said i was sent a faulty PCM idk if i take it to a ford dealer to get reflash/reprogrammed if that will fix the issue?? any advice is much appreciated. i was quoted $350 plus tax by ford for the reflash if thats the route i take. i already dumped soooo much money into this truck im just worried if that will actually fix the shaking. Also when i turn on the truck the check engine light is the only one that doesnt flash with the rest of the lights. idk if that is an issue. I did buy this suv from a small car lot and i never did pay attention if the engine light flashed with the other lights when i bought it. after some reaserch into the carlot i found it was a not so honest seller, im just a girl ):

Is the Check Engine Light on while driving?
If the shuddering is timing-related/vacumn-related, there would be a code for it.

the check engine light is off. But the check engine light doesn’t flash either when I turn on the truck like the other warning light do. The timing was checked and it’s not out of time. The codes it’s reading are for cylinder misfires but all those were checked as well and just replaced too.

The CEL should turn on when the truck is put into the "on" position, and should either go off immediately, or flash 8 times then stay on (Depending on the OBD II Status)
It is possible that somebody rigged it so that the light doesn't show up on the dash, I had somebody do that to a Subaru Tribeca....

For the cylinder misfires, were the codes listed as "pending" or "confirmed" on the scan tool?
