looked up the part from my VIN - A version superseded by C version.
All dealers backordered. Got exact part from a dealer on Ebay.
It seems the manual sensor goes to bracket on outside of trani that is not connected to anything I could see.
Just got my replacement valve body for 2019 exp plat
Old one has the manual valve position sensor with extra wiring - new valve body does not have it - do I need a different valve body with the manual sensor? can I swap old sensor into new valve body? anyone run into this?
TIA
Done. Used Gorilla glue 2 part epoxy. Removed wheel well plastic pop in retainer and 2 screws to gain access behind front fender from wheel well. cleaned all mating parts with acetone and put epoxy on both the camera mount and the fender. Put it together at the correct angle and held it until...
The front drivers side bumper camera/sensor was knocked off the inside of the bumper and looks like any plastic mounting was broken.
Any advice on how to remount this little bugger inside the panel? epoxy?
Thanks,
Andy
I got the exped back today. I couldn't get them to replace turbos - they said initial cold start noise was normal according to Ford. I had the TSB on valve cover replacement due to oil consumption or a code - They did not replace valve cover but instead followed Ford guideline to change the...
Another update: Code P0011 is back! Bank 1 camshaft over advance. So it was problem free for about 6 weeks.
I called to make an appointment as I have fordprotect premium for another 40000 miles and I don't have time to repair myself. I learned that the truck had the Phasers replaced about...
4 weeks ago I got another engine code - this time the same Bank but for the Camshaft sensor. I decided to replace as it was cheap ($23) and easy(right) - well easier than vct lol.
If you have not done the passenger side camshaft sensors - they are on the top of the engine right behind the...
Has anyone on this thread replaced any VCT Solenoids - either bank? I read elsewhere that sometimes codes for passenger side can be caused by drivers side not letting enough oil over to passenger bank vcts - I have done just about everything on my vehicles - this is my first Ford. I just wanted...
To add to the symptoms: Driving today -after about 30 miles was at a stoplight and it started to idle rough again - no codes thrown - I decided to shut it off for 30 sec and restarted it - then ran perfect again for the rest of the trip...
I changed plugs and boots 2nd week I owned it - also good full syn oil, and differential & transfer case fluids all changed. Plus new design ford 180 thermostat and new coolant.
if the codes and symptoms do not return then there is not a reason to have service. The truck has been running perfect since. Hence I am asking for diagnosis, not critics. I have the codes - I shared them with you. If this happens again I did plan on leaving the codes as I stated.
Ford dealer is at least a week out until they will even look at it - and I will wait for the codes and check engine before bringing it in again.
Details:

Well this is certainly a fun project. I would have gotten everything done but ran into a snag with the PPE transmission pan install. Stock torque specs for the transmission pan is 106 inch pounds for the studs and 89...

also, I believe this is the correct part that has enough internal clearance not to hit the pump housing:

Did you have to loosen transmission mount bolts to get the new pan to fit (I saw in another thread on a 2018 that the normal capacity pan he had to loosen trani mount and raise to get clearance to get it installed)
Thanks,
Andy

this thread just convinced me to get the 180F thermostat.

If you read the fine print on any warranty contract you will find a lot of reasons your warranty can become void;
installing aftermarket parts can be one of them.
However, per the Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act proof would have to be provided that the after-market part caused the failure.
If you...
