    new tail light

I did that on my 2002 F250 (and a few other non-Fords)... actually, the 2002 F250 had aftermarket 2007(?) style reflectors, the LEDs worked really well with these and had a very crisp lowbeam cutoff with a even wide light pattern, and high beams that were like daylight over the whole road.

    Disable side airbags

I suspect you would need to unplug these side airbags to disable them. most cars, all airbags go off at once looks like on my 2019 wiring diagrams, *everything* airbag related plugs into the RCM, Restraints Control Module, which appears to be under the armrest part of the center console, and...

B&O 12 speaker stereo has boomy bass

I've noticed when I turn up the volume to like 8-12 on trackhs that have a strong acoustic bass, the bass sounds boomy. Listen to some tracks from Crooked Still's _Shaken by a Low Sound_ ... https://open.spotify.com/album/1MXfI5PVHDjkZJrlM9aFkp?si=E5RmyhTPTeS7Z70KTODHTA ... there's a big gap...

    new tail light

on my 9900 mile Mexican caravan, about mid way, I jacknifed backing up and busted a taillight on my 2019 Expedition Limited Stealth... We found a roll of red taillight repair tape in a local auto store, and I taped up the light til I got home... I ordered a replacement Ford tail light, it got...

    TCU location

I know this is an old thread, but for anyone looking in the future, per my 2019 wiring diagrams the TCU is under the center of the dashboard, above the transmission hump, presumably forward of the cellular charging pocket.

    Hah!

well, as I said, going forward I will be doing 5000 mile oil changes. this was a one shot deal. before I left on the trip, I had a local indie shop do an oil change with Mobil 1 full synth, and when I reentered the US I got it changed at a Ford dealer (Sandersen Ford in Phoenix,AZ), who I...

    Hah!

well, oil changed when I got back into the USA last week. At about 8000 miles it was clear light brown, and still felt like the proper viscosity. Who's Harvey ?

How to Disable Modem on 2023 Expedition

on my 2019 Expedition wiring diagram, it appears the cellular data modem is embedded in the Telematics Control Unit (TCU), and unplugging that would break a LOT of stuff.

    Load Range E tire pressure

What opticon said. Optimum pressure is a function of tire size and actual load. Even if a load range E tire might be rated for up to 70 PSI or whatever, that's for an actual E load which an expedition is not designed for. 275/65R18 on an gen 4 Expedition at GAWR is 35 PSI, regardless of the tire.

    Hah!

Normally plan on 5000 mile changes but after 8000 miles the oil still looks and feels good. Going to avoid North Bay Ford, will probably go to Sunnyvale when I'm home, or for oil changes an Indy shop like Earnie's in Felton.

    New rims and tire question

I'd go 18 or even 17 for AT tires. Stock 18" size is 275/65R18, and I think there's a /70 size too. My 2019 "Stealth" with 18s... These are F150 take-offs that still have the crappy stock Goodyear Wrangler Territory AT OEM tires from said F-150, I'll be putting BFG KO2 on here as soon as I...

    Coolant consumption

Ford shop here in Mexico confirmed it's a heater hose but can't get the part for a week and I'm heading north tomorrow.... They are going to block off the heater which should stop the leak, hopefully the dealer in Phoenix can get the part on Tuesday when I am there....

General Grabber tires on brand new 22 Expy

When I got my 19 Stealth in November, it had the 22's, I immediately swapped them for some "take off" 18's from a F150. I've been in Mexico since January, all over for 8000+ miles of the worst roads, and have been super happy. The 18's came with new Goodyear Wrangler AT OEM tires, I'll be...

    TPMS reset procedure?

Maybe the reset calibrates the pressure? Original 22" wheels were 39 psi, new 18s are 35 psi nominal.

    Coolant consumption

Looks like it's dripping from a Y shaped hose on the passenger side of the engine... I'm hoping I can nurse it for another week and got an appointment at a Ford dealer in Phoenix AZ next week. Currently on Playa Huatabampito....

    Lifted Stealth 4th Gens

I'm not sure I understand why the CCD is so hard to delete. When I looked at the wiring diagram there were no sensors, just the solenoid in the shock, so putting a resistor across the circuit where that solenoid used to be should fake out the car. So it thinks it's still there. And then you...

    Coolant consumption

My 2019 Expedition now has about 72,000 mi on it. I'm 7,000 mi into an 8000 mi road trip and it's used a gallon and a half of coolant. There's not a trace of coolant in the oil. There's not a trace of steam in the exhaust. There's absolutely no smell of coolant in the interior or under the hood...
