2013 radio unit to 2006 truck

Hi, I need to replace my factory radio unit in my 2006 Expedition. I wanted to buy an aftermarket one, JVC or Alpine, but I’ve got an offer of buying 2013 OEM Expedition radio for cheap. I know that the connectors are different and I’ll have to manage harness myself, that’s not a big deal. But will it physically fit into 2006 radio bay? Do I have to use any additional frame like with the aftermarket radio? How about steering wheel controls, will it work after wiring it correctly or does 2013 Expedition use a different system/protocol for steering wheel controls?
