I replaced the ac compressor & condenser & did a complete system flush as well as installed both front & rear expansion valves with new ones. I'm using an electric vacuum pump which I rented. I have my own Robinair gauges. I can only achieve right at 28 inches of mercury, no leak down when disconnected.
I'm at 3,400 feet. I know that affects vacuum. The system was open overnight at a few hoses. I need to be able to boil off all the moisture as well as flush residue ( I did use the proper automotive flush solvent) will 28 inches of mercury create the required vacuum to get all that moisture/residue out of the system?
