Hello all!
I have a 2018 Expedition Max. I had a base plate installed on our Expedition November of 2020 to flat tow behind our RV. Our cruise control as of late has starting acting up. When you start on the interstate, the cruise will not set. If you scroll to turn on Cruise Control it isn’t highlighted and skips right over it.
Funny thing is, after driving for 30-40 miles it will start working.‍♂️
Took it to Ford with other issues and wanted them to fix this issue as well. I have the Ford Premium Care extended warranty. The dealer is saying the cruise issue has do with the base plate interfering with the radar sensors causing the cruise not to work. Are they just trying to get out of repairing the issue? What do you all think?
Thank you in advance.
Chuck

Yes, there is a radar in the front of the vehicle, and if anything blocks it, or is in its path/view, it will cause the cruise to not work.
