2019. 170,000 miles. Small drops on driveway. Starting to refill the expansion tank……

Got a pressure check. Sure enough two of the plastic fittings on both the upper and lower hoses (JL1Z-18472-B and JL1Z-18472-C) were cracked and beginning to seep/leak.

5 years and 170000 miles. I’m okay with that.

Lesson learned is I’m going to get an annual pressure check with or without a sign of a leak.

Those hoses are kinda rare. Only 1 of my nearest 5 Ford dealers had them in stock and from my research Dorman used to make an OEM but doesn’t anymore.

It is an $1100 job at the dealership as posted elsewhere. I like having the warranty that comes with a dealership install since I’m a thousand miles from home most of the time.

Word to the wise. Happy Motoring!
