I have a 2004 Ford Expedition XLT Sport. It has painted lower body cladding - the plastic stuff that's attached at the bottom of the doors.
Last winter I grabbed a used pair of McKech mirrors off eBay. While the cladding is secure, it's not strong enough for me to strap the mirrors to (doing so pulls it away from the door). And the clip on the McKesh straps isn't large enough to actually hook the bottom of the door (steel) over the cladding. I realize now that pictures would probably help...I'll try to post some tonight.
Has anyone with and Expy encountered this problem and come up with a practical solution? Would love to hear your thoughts!
