Thank you. Step 1 is not needed though. I found you can remove the OD wire by releasing the connector behind the steering column cover. I think that was easier than trying to use a small screw driver and needle nose pliers. Definitely nice to look at the new shifter boot.
you don't get 20's and mud tires to worry about your mpg. if you really care then go back to 18's and get some street tires. You will probably get 4-5mpg better.
You say you don't want a body lift but all you want is to clear bigger tires? Body lift is perfect for your situation. Get the Truxxx 3/2 kit, cheap kit and easy to install.
Can someone please help identify the name or part # of the rubber piece that goes over the gear shifter and possibly a good place to buy it other than the dealer?
I did notice something similar to a fluttering sound for a few seconds when I started it. It had never made that sound before though so I didn't really think too much about it. Owning a high mileage vehicle is always risky to drive. I've had Mercedes, BMW's, and this Ford and after 100k miles...
Just had the oil changed at the dealership so I'm assuming they used whatever the recommended oil is. Turns out the fuel injector failed and allowed gas into the oil which caused the oil to thin and seize the motor. I gave the car to my dad and he's going to buy a new engine for it. $7k...
My engine seized a couple days ago right after it hit 160,000 miles
Edit to say the engine was maintained perfectly and failure was not due to any kind of neglect. I bought it brand new from the dealership. This will be my last Ford.
The radio from my 03 expedition only has 2 connectors on the back of it, but the person I sold it to has 3 connectors on their 03 expedition. What is the 3rd connector for?
Haha, well I do not own the expedition anymore, I sold it to my parents who need it for some construction work they are doing on their house and I was posting the question for them. They got a little impatient though and just went to the dealership to get the new keys before I could tell them...
What are the options for getting a spare key besides going to the dealership for it? (I have one key and would like a second spare). For some reason when I search for "key" nothing comes up. If I have to go to the dealership, how much will it be?
