Yesterday I had the car interior cleaned profesionaly. Today the engine light turned on and I got this code u2013 the compass module is not responding.
Then it goes crazy beeping.
Any ideas about how to fix that? or what fuse in the fuse box relates to the compass so at least I can turn it off...
A few photos now that I have removed the steering wheel and column. The second photo shows the ball bearing that is damaged causing the main steering column to make a grinding noise and also making the steering wheel column have room to move around.
So it looks like I am referring to the Steering column part number 2L1Z-3C529-GA which is discontinued. Something inside of it has a bearing and that bearing is damaged.
Good Day,
Attached is an image I am trying to look for a part number (the one pointing with the green arrow).
My steering wheel makes a grinding noise while turning and I see small metal pellets on the driver-side floor. Like when a bearing broke.
An image is attached here for reference.
Is it a...
The 10mm bolts used for the oil pump (set of three) to secure the oil pump to the engine, do you know where can I get them or a part number?
Ford Expedition 2005 5.4L with a 340HV Melling pump.
Hi @Hamfisted . To my knowledge, transmission oil has never changed. I noticed that when I jack up the vehicle to do some other mechanical stuff. I don't think is a hassle to change the trans oil and filter since I already doing so many other things to the vehicle. The oil is dark red (more dark...
Hey there! Continuing my journey to DIY chain tensioner replacement (thanks to ford makuloco), I was also checking many things underneath the vehicle. And I found there is a leak on this metal tube, passenger side, right above the transmission pan. Do I need to replace the tube or is there a...
Any ideas on where can I get the rubber seal that goes in the transmission bell?
BTW proper credits: the picture belongs to a screen capture of a Makuloco video. So I don't have to go under the car.
I am changing the roller arms on the Expy (using Melling rollers) and I had an extremely hard time removing the passenger valve cover. Mainly because I was not able to lift the valve cover enough to pull it out. And it was because of the two hoses in the back to the right of the valve cover.
I...
yesterday after I turned on the AC a white vapor/smoke/gas? started to come out from below the right of the engine. It was not the engine oil, transmission oil, no coolant, no brake fluids. A friend said something about the AC compressor being "blown" and the white vapor/smoke/gas was the oil...
Good evening.
I am about to change Front/rear wheel bearings and hubs and Front brake rotors. Is there a place where I can get/buy a document with the torque specs?
Expy 2005 EB 5.4L
thanks,
This is an old thread but I wanted to update it and provide proper closure. My switch was bad. Replacing the switch solved it.
This is the switch. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Brake-Stop-Light-Switch-for-Ford-F150-Expedition-Lincoln-Navigator-Mark-LT/371411227976

Can someone please confirm that the Fuse is #2?
Also, is the 3rd light wire feed, feeding something else that I can test?
All my tail wiring works ok, it is just the wiring of the 3rd light I am not sure if it's broken somewhere and it goes inside the chassis in a place I cannot reach.
I don't...
I have replaced my 3rd light with a new led based lamp https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MV8HZTH
I never knew why it stops working as I got the car with the 3rd light not working.
However, after replacing the lamp and when I press the brake pedal, all I see is a faint "blink" of the LEDs...
Thanks for all the comments. unfortunately, I don't live in the US and here in my country (Panama) junkyards sell that stuff if you can get to them. Ford dealers don't place orders for old vehicles unless you have a part number. You are very lucky to have junkyards that give such stuff for free...
