I have drifted out of my lane before checking mirrors and blind spot. I rather the car does it itself while I check to make sure it's not doing anything wrong.
I can't wait until the roll the update out to the bigger vehicles. It is nice being able to drive on highways without holding the wheel, I actually gave it a try yesterday. I would really like lane changes. It's always a bit nerve wracking trying to change the lane on one of these giant vehicles.
Yesterday, our family had the 1st adaptive cruise control scare on our brand new 2024 Ford Expedition Platinum. Not sure if the vehicle picked up a speed limit sign from the highway or got the wrong map information, but where I marked the "X" on the map, was where the vehicle floored it. It...
I switched the remote I was using and it worked. I think maybe the small keychain remotes I got off of Aliexpress wasn't putting out a strong enough signal, so I used the bigger visor ones (also from Aliexpress). The programming took another 10 tries with the other remote. Took a couple hours...
We have a brand new 2024 Ford Expedition Platinum, and a very old LiftMaster garage door opener with a red learn button. We never had any issues programming in remotes on our vehicles (2006 Honda Pilot or 2005 Lexus LS430), but today my dad and I tried to program the garage door opener into the...
I know. Greg was asking for what version. The newest version on the Mach-E does lane changes, but the Expedition doesn't have the update yet. It's an older version of BlueCruise.
They do look very nice. I really hope with the 360 camera, my mom and I won't scrape it. We have a tendency to scrape the wheels on our 2005 Lexus and 2006 Honda. o_O I really suck at parallel parking. Not sure if the auto park can do it for us when there are no lines like in a residential...
Hope you had a fun trip! State Route 1 is closed around the Big Sur area (to be more specific near Rocky Creek Bridge) due to rockslide, so if you were planning on taking the scenic route back, it's off the tables.
What I'm saying is if Ford was willing to put the King Ranch seats on the Platinum, we'd have taken it. They don't. The King Ranch seats look really nice.
We didn't upgrade those, it's the default. I feel like we're living up to our stereotype being Chinese. We don't just upgrade on looks (well except for the paint because my dad and I really loved it). :rotflmao:
Edits:
We contemplated for a long time if we should stick with the silver paint...
My dad didn't want to try it out yesterday on the drive back from the dealership, also we didn't know how to activate it. I think it is probably 1.0 and does not do lane changes. I don't think any Expedition gotten the upgrade yet.
We finally got it! I posted a thread here:

It actually came in last week but our family has been so busy we didn't have time to pick it up! It was a lot of negotiating but they got us down to a price of $88828. It was $4750 off of MSRP. They didn't want to do it initially, but we told them we were at Sunnyvale Ford and they had a similar...
Anyways, the dealer said it will be ready sometime toward the end of the month.
As long as those extra shipping costs isn't passed down to us when purchasing the vehicle, I'm good. :rotflmao:
Just came across an article on social media that talks about how the NTSB is investigating two separate crashes by Ford Mustang Mach-Es and at least one of the incidents BlueCruise was actually on. How do you feel about this new tech?
I personally still like technology like this because drivers...
Wait you can disable it via Forscan? I always thought you had to wire in a dongle in the back like the one for F150s:
https://www.cjponyparts.com/autostop-eliminator-for-split-hazard-start-stop-switch-assembly-f-150-2015-2020-f-150-raptor-2017-2020/p/AE000/
We were hoping not to appear too eager to buy so we can potentially have more room to discuss discounts. :rotflmao: So they've just been the ones emailing us updates (and me looking on the website), but we never initiated any contact about the vehicle.
I'm still using the same VIN for the...
If this continues, our family might just go get the one from Redwood City. Before we ordered this, we considered that one back in December because it had everything except 3 seats in the 2nd row. Which is why we ordered. We actually don't have that many people in our household, but we were a bit...
