I have numerous posts about this on here. The feedback mechanism in the switch is a terrible design, its essentially just a rubber nub that tries to return to its resting position. I actually found that if I tap hard enough on the trim surrounding the button sometimes it works fine. Secondarily, you can replace the button which I have done, but prior to replacing it I actually sprayed a tiny bit of spray silicone in there, let it drive, then installed it. That seems to have helped a lot with making sure the button moves with a little less resistance.
