what do i need to do and how hard is it? my stock amp finally took a dump. its not turning on. the local audio shop wanted $150 to do it. i said SCREW THAT! they wanted to rip apart the dash and everything. im just thinking about hooking up my sub and a home speaker to my amps. if its way too much work. haha

the crunch 2100 and a little dual 2 channel. but im thinking i can just wire every speaker up from the head unit. cant i? use the head unit wires and wire from there. i dont want to do all that work but if its cheaper than having a shop do it ill do it.

yeah...just tap the speaker wires...use signal converter to connect the rca's to the amp...then speaker wires from sub to amp and run power/ground...done

ummm... im thinking just wiring the head unit to the speakers. with out using my little amp. would be a lot of work, how much would it cost for a shop to do it? to run all new wires from my head unit to the speakers. and i would just sell my head unit with my truck.

yeah im going to buy a spool of wire and tackle this head on. with a friend or two. any shop wants around $150-175 to do this. a spool of wire costs... $40 at MOST. how big of a spool do i need? 50ft? 100ft? im thinking 18 gauge or 16 gauge.

okay. got the back speakers wired up. not hard at all. had some old speaker wire laying around. now the front. the drivers side seems really hard with the e-brake in the way. any easy way to do that or just try my best?
