Good morning, everyone
2007 5.4 V8 Ford Expedition & 2017 V6 Eco Booster Ford Expedition
I’m NOT an auto mechanic. I have done some work on every vehicle I have ever own (brakes, clutch fan, oil change, belt & filters, tune up on older ones, etc.) I do not have a lift; I used a 3-ton jack, jack stands, engine lift, and I have some tools of course. I have 1997-2014 Chilton Ford & 1997-2017 Haynes Ford repair manual. I try to do as much as I can before asking for help and or taking it to a shop. And use the dealer as the very last resort.
My 2007 Expedition is running rough, so put an auto scanner on it. I found the following codes C1095, C1288, C1440, & P0353. The first three are ABS issues. The last one P0353 is the no. 3 ignition coil failure. I have never done any of these in the past. I’m not even sure where the parts are located under the hood. The manuals don’t really show me how to fully repair them. Does anyone know of a video or other source that I can get help before turning to a shop. Is it even feasible for me to try to repair it at home by myself?
