My 2008 EL expedition has the stock 20” Ford wheels, I thought they where alloy wheels but I now have all the chrome peeling off, it seems they are actually steel wheels with a plastic chromed trim pressed on. I think it looks awful where the chrome has lifted off, you can see the white plastic underneath. I don’t want to buy new wheels, but does anyone know if you can buy and replace the plastic facia? The facia/trim doesn’t seem to come off? Just want to smarten the wheels up without spending a fortune.
