Installed new Bilstein 4600s all around. Installed the fronts according to Bilstein's instructions, but installed the rears differently. Instead of installing the steel spacer (washer) on on the strut stem according to the instructions (#2 in picture below), I installed it like a washer under the mount nut on top of the upper mount. Should I redo the install correctly or leaver it alone? The shop that installed the previous 4600s did it using the spacer as a washer and they lasted for ~150k miles/8 years. When I installed the new struts, the bump stops were stuck in the boot at the top of the upper mount and I didn't pull them out.

I'd be concerned about the shoulder on the shock rod pushing through the hole in the mount.....
