I just replaced my stereo with an aftermarket unit plus a CD. The one that was in before stopped giving me sound. So I thoght it was the old unit so I replaced it. Same problem with the new unit. Everything works except no sound! The old unit's sound just stopped one day. I checked every fuse I could find. Under the dash and hood. The power is fine. Just no sound, not even a crackle. Anyone know what's going on?

THANKS!

What year is your vehicle? On the pre 2003, you have to disconnect the connections to the rear controls at the rear control panel.

Also, it may be your factory amplifier. That is a common problem with FORD SUV's. It is located in the rear passenger 1/4 panel.
