I am looking for suggestions for a cargo SAFETY net. We carry a ton of stuff when we go camping. Full from the tailgate to the back of the front seats. In case of an accident, I want something to help keep the stuff back there and not on our laps.

It would go back to front, down the sides from about window height.

Thanks in advance for the help....

You may want to post the year, make and model of your vehicle - in case someone has a solution.

Ford determined that the Expedition does not require a cargo net, at least for the 3rd generation models. Mine has no option for one - and no provisions for one. Often, when the hatch is opened - the rear contents spill out.

What was Ford thinking - especially for a sport utility vehicle?

My model has a stupid color-changing ambient light feature standard. I’d gladly trade it for a cargo net with tie-down features.

This isn’t a cargo net but it is gonna work for a battering ram fence temporarily. I’m always trying to build some sort of barricade to keep my dog from getting slammed by a cooler or some other gear when I have to jump on the brakes. It just so happens that my dual rifle case fits perfectly snug between the folded second and third row seats. I’m heading to deer camp in the morning so that’s why I’m using it in this situation. It’s probably not a good idea to ride around with a rifle case for a barricade otherwise. I just might have to build something of similar dimensions that is open on top so I could use it as a storage bin also.31A5D7C8-D1E3-4FC5-864F-27F443FC1A1B.jpegB718AAF6-FBCB-4227-9E1A-158AACF313CE.jpeg

Thanks. I will probably rig up a truck safety net.

My dogs always had a safety harness that hooked into the seat belts. One lab needed a cable since she chewed through the seat belt in my brand new Tiffin Motorhome to extract herself so she could come forward and check my driving skills.
