So I contacted Whipple about the MIL code with the vent tube installed. Support said to make sure the tube was inserted into the correct fitting and indexed correctly. Turns out I put it in the wrong hole! LOL

Hello, new user here.

I have the stage 1 installed on my 2021, easy install, easy tune, awesome upgrade for the price IMO.

I’ve had it installed for about 13k miles, I’m meticulous about oil changes and analysis, and I’ve had clean oil reports since the install. So it’s not tearing itself apart.

I was thinking of replacing the IC and possible intake but not mess with the tuning. Do you see benefit from replacing both without tune? where does the biggest bang for your buck come from? I mostly want to do it to benefit when I am towing. My other question is how does it effect mpg? It probably doesn't hurt it when towing maybe even help it but what about just traveling with cruise on. Thanks for any clarification out there.

The engine likely pulling timing while towing. I see pre and post turbo temps increases of 30 to 40 degrees even in moderate temps. My IAT2 regularly tops 140 degrees with ambient in the low 90s. You may or may not notice the difference depending on what you're towing, ambient temps, grade, elevation, etc., but the engine will definitely retain the ability to make more power with an upgraded intercooler. By all accounts I've read, the intake isn't a restriction on these engines. I have a Wagner intercooler sitting on the floor waiting to go in since I just put a tune on the vehicle and summer is rapidly approaching.
