100%. They lubed up my running boards 4-5x before they finally agreed to replace them. With my idler pulleys, I had to get out the stethoscope and be 100% certain that was the source of my accessory drive noise as they said if I was wrong it would be a $150+ diagnostic fee. Then with the rear struts, they insisted they were shocks and not covered. My independent mechanic said "Put the tech on the phone and I'll explain to him why those are struts." Ten minutes later after a lot of "uh huh, yep" from the Ford tech, he agreed they were struts and thus covered. It was always a battle with them though.
I will also say, this was NEVER the case in previous years. I've been buying Fords and Ford Extended warranty's since the 1990's and up until about 5 years ago, the premium warranty was pretty much bumper to bumper (except of course obvious maintenance items). It seems the bean counters are now running the warranty show as well.

I think sometimes we forget these plans are like an insurance policy - we hope we never have to use them, but just in case we need them we have them. Given the cost of my 2022 EXP I'm just glad I have one and the cost of the plan is not something I obsess about. Mine is with Ford purchased at time of purchase.

Get the premiumcare with all option

My 3rd brake light has a few LED's out (about 40% out) im assuming by moisture cause I can see it in the housing. Do you think my premiumcare w/LED lighting option will cover a new replacement ? I can aee Ford saying that it needs to be totally out before replacing tho.....

Anyone ever have this same situation covered?
I recently had my 2018 Plati in for a number of items, one of them was the same thing, I probably had about 30 to 40% of the center brake light LEDs out, and they replaced it no issue.

My theory is that you take all the money you would spend on warranty plans, put it in a jar, and use it for repairs. The jar would never go empty.

I don't usually spring for warranties, but I think it's money well spent on modern vehicles with all the tech that's prone to fail and very expensive to fix. My CPO with Premium warranty cost me $700. I drove off the lot with $700 worth of new tires and had another nearly $20k worth of repairs done by the time I hit 100k miles (with $200-300 in deductible payments). That means I paid $900-1,000 out-of-pocket for nearly $21k worth of parts/labor. Even if we assume dealer prices are double what my regular mechanic charges, I still paid 90% less by getting the warranty.

Anyone know if ESP coverage bought from a US dealer like Lombard, Flood, etc... will cover for my local dealers up here in Canada, or do I have to shop around from Canadian dealers only? I heard Lombard, Flood... (and some other dealers I don't remember) offer the best deals?

From the FAQ on one of the Ford warranty websites:

Is the warranty good at my local Ford dealership?

It is accepted at ALL Ford and Lincoln dealerships in the US, Canada, and Mexico.

I wonder if the USA online dealer is allowed to sell the ESP for a Canadian delivered vehicle. I guess one was to find out is try and place the online order and see if their system accepts it with a) Canadian VIN and b) Kilometers (vs miles).
