2008 Expedition SSV >> 12v switched radio
I am trying to install an after market Kenwood (1 wiring connector) in place of the OEM (2 connector). I have attempted to identify the wires from the OEM connectors and have accurately located the all-time-12v and ground, but CANNOT locate the 12v Switched wire! Anyone know how this is wired?
OEM has a 24-pin connector and a 16-pin connector. The all-time-12v and ground is on the 24 pin, and cannot find 12v on any of the other pins. If I combine the Kenwood's Red and Yellow together onto the OEM all-time-12v I get the radio to power up, but I expect that to drain on the battery too much even when I've turned the radio off and removed the key from the ignition.
Does anyone know how to correctly wire this Kenwood into the existing wiring?
Thanks!
Bob
