    99' Expedition - P0401

Hi, My 99' Expedition had the following code about a year ago ( P0401). At that time, I ended up cleaning the throttle body spacer as it had clogged ports. The code went away and the car ran OK for 8 months or so. The code ended up coming back along with a bit of hesitation upon flooring the...

    Fuel pump replacement

Hi, My 99' Expedition (2wd; 199k miles) seems to have a failed fuel pump. Anyway, I dropped the tank and have it ready to replace the fuel pump. I'm ready to sell this SUV as I really have no need for it (kids are grown). It's not practical as a daily driver (15mpg) as much as I love this...

99' expedition replaced one rear air spring

Hi, I did turn the switch back on. I spent $150 on one so if I need to then I'd buy another air spring instead of coil springs.....just because I will also be seling my SUV w/in the next 6 months. Thanks

99' expedition replaced one rear air spring

Hi, I replaced one air spring in the rear because the other was not leaking. My SUV seems to be wobbling while driving. Is this due to having two different air springs? One is OEM and the other is a replacement I purchased on-line. I assume it's an issue being that it happened after I...

99' Front Wheel bearings making noise again!

@Walnuts4x4, There is a cotter pin...I wonder if I did put it through both the nut and other nut cover (not sure of the exact technical term for this odd looking nut cover). Thanks.

99' Front Wheel bearings making noise again!

@ Thermo, I did replace the race as well. The funny thing is that if I re-tighten the nut, the noise goes away meaning the nut becomes loose. Any other thoughts?

99' Front Wheel bearings making noise again!

Hi, My front wheel bearings were making a noise so I replaced both sets and greased them accordingly with a great packer etc... About 4 months later and my driver-side wheel bearing started making a humming noise once again. I re-tightened the nut and that seemed to work (no more noise) and...

Hi, I have replaced all my front wheel bearings on my 99' Expedition (rubbing sound was constant) and replaced the driver side rotor as well. It was running smooth for about 4 months and now my driver side bearings are making a rubbing sound once again. What gives? I packed the new bearings...

99' expedition shakes after engine cleaning

was performed. I sprayed a foam engine degreaser and did not cover anything on my 4.6 litre engine (I guess that was the mistake;not covering). I was looking for a leak and performed this task w/out thinking much about it. I let the engine dry for about 3 hours before I started the...
