I just got a 2008 Expedition EL
It has the touch screen head unit and the rear DVD player. I have come to discover that it does not support Bluetooth or backup camera input.
My concern with replacing the head unit is that I will no longer be able to use the DVD player. Other than controls from the front and sound to speakers do I loose any other features?
I am interested in installing something like a Kenwood DMX129BT. I have already installed this same receiver into my wife's Durango. It has a RCA input. I saw somewhere else someone saying that you can run a RCA line from the DVD player? I see the connection on the driver's side. Or could I just connect a AUX extension from the headphone jack to the head unit.
Does anyone have experience with this?
