Apple car play

Just up dated I phone to iOS 18. Now problems with my 22 platinum with 4a.
Car okay will not just start. Need to go through 4 steps to get to play pandora.
Sometimes I will have to turn off volume and back on to get sound from pandora.
Any thoughts

Looks like it’s an IOS18 problem that others are having too. I’m sticking with 17.7 for a bit.

My 2024 xlt Sync 4 got a software update (6.14.0) on September 19th, one day before the new iPhone release. Now the Sync 4 version is 23306_PRODUCT Revision: 1076. So far, the Carplay works fine with iOS 18 on the iPhone 16 pro max. I don't know if iOS 18 is compatible with the previous version (23222_PRODUCT Revision:966), though.

iOS 18 is compatible with all versions of Sync 4. I have been on various Beta's for months. My phone is currently on 18.1 Developer Beta 4 on my 15 Pro. Most of the time deleting the pairing between the vehicle and the phone and readding will resolve issues like this. I had to do this once on one of the earlier Beta's. It is not uncommon after any iOS update.
